Why

Parus jerdoni Blyth, which Gould places in the Peninsula of India (Bombay to Cape Comorin, the Nilgiris), is a synonym of the Indian Yellow Tit, M. aplonotus, now split from the Himalayan Black-lored Tit; the survey kept the Himalayan species.
