Why

Podiceps auritus = Colymbus auritus Linn. (cornutus Temm.), Horned (Slavonian) Grebe; the plate has its golden horns and chestnut neck. The Bearded Tit on the bulrush is an accompaniment named in the text, not given a row.

Who made the plate
