Why

Audubon's “Yellow Red-poll Warbler” (Sylvia petechia, Wilson's misapplied name) is the Yellow Palm Warbler, S. p. hypochrysea, a race of today's Palm Warbler; Audubon wrote in 1834 that plate 163 shows the same bird.
