Why

Gould's text says Blyth's names for VI.2 and VI.3 are transposed: this 'rosa' is the Indian and Ceylon bird (Hume's purpureus), the Plum-headed Parakeet. The plate agrees: emerald ring under the black collar, white tail tip, grey-headed female with a yellow collar and no wing-spot.
