Why

Gould's text says Blyth's names for VI.2 and VI.3 are transposed: this 'cyanocephala', the Burmese bird of E Bengal, Assam, Burma and China (Hume's bengalensis), is the Blossom-headed Parakeet. The plate agrees: pink head with lavender nape, no emerald ring under the collar, yellowish tail tip, maroon wing-spot in the grey-headed females.
