Why

Gould's 'Naumann's Thrush', drawn from the Munich bird, has a blackish breast band and flanks scaled white, a white belly, a buff eyebrow, rufous-edged wings and a brown tail: a Dusky Thrush, Turdus eunomus, not Naumann's. Seebohm and Dresser both cite the plate under the Dusky Thrush.
