Why

A young Greater Spotted Eagle: uniformly blackish-brown with rows of large white drops on the scapulars, median and greater coverts and no buff nape patch; a young Lesser is paler brown with a buff nape and one row of small spots. Meyer's naevia covered both, and Dresser cites the plate under both clanga and pomarina, so the figure decides.
